If you put a mat back there....make sure not to cover the holes in the bed. The hot air under the bed from the exhaust needs to have a place to escape. If you close them you take the possibility of burning a hole through the bed. This has happened to at least on member on here

Thanks for the heads up. I end up cutting up one of those Restaraunt type mats with all the holes in them. Hopefully that will breathe.

What Vinny said^. If I were going to put a dog back there, I would make a raised bed from plywood with about one inch spacers under it with insulation between it and the bed floor, making sure you don't cover any holes, and leaving a space around the plywood for the heat to escape, then cover the plywood with the rubber mat. These things get really hot back there, and I think a simple rubber mat is not going to be enough for your dog.
I like it though, and wish I could take my dog, but they ain't gonna fit.LOL!Name: IMG_3137.JPG

    Thanks for the advice fellas.
Looks like it will be a test in progress and I definitely will monitor the heat and look for options or nix the whole project if it's too hot.

I modified the stock lower fascia to work with my KFI mount and Viper winch. I preferred the narrower look of the stock piece over the KFI front guard. To finish it off I split some fuel line and attached it (with shoe goo).

Here is what I did for my dog she loves going for rides and it isn't to hot for her. It is just a 1in sheet of plywood cut to fit with anti fatigue mat glued to it

I like this tread but dose anyone know why I can't see the photos?
    I also don't see avatars.
I've checked my account settings and it's set to show pictures and avatars.
I've tried different browser and even a different computer. One Mac one Windows.
On my phone it shows, broken attachments.
