i have a 7 pin on off on rocker switch that i am trying to wire up i have a diagram that i have attached that came with it and a diagram i made can someone tell me if the diagram i made if one of the two options are correct or if neither are? I am wanting to connect it to the accessory plug already on the ace under rear fender i attached a picture would there be a problem with me doing it this way? THIS IS NOT TO WIRE A WINCH IT IS TO WIRE A ACTUATOR TO MAKE IT GO UP AND DOWN.
Welcome and good luck!
I sold my ACE and am no longer a moderator on this forum. In fact I'm not participating on this forum at all. Sending me questions about my previous signatures is not likely to generate a response. But if you ask your question to the forum publicly, I'm sure you'll get what you need.

If this is for a winch, I would use a three way momentary switch, not a three way maintained switch. If the winch is on the front, I would use the terminal block that is under the front hood. There is even a place to mount the winch relay.
I am not sure if the plug in the wheel well is keyed power or just regular power.
So...if I understand this.....
Position 1. First devices on.
Position 2. Both off
Position 3. Second devices on
PIN 2 & 5 should be from keyed power under radiator. (battery power controlled by Key switch).
PIN 1 & 4 to devices powered when rocker is in position 1.
PIN 3 & 6 to devices powered when rocker is in position 3.
Device 1 & 2 are lights on the front end, device 3 & 4 are lights on the rear end.
EXAMPLES (let's say you had four different devices....Light A, B, C, D)
When the rocker switch is put into position 1, the circuit connects and lights A&B turn on.
When the rocker switch is put into position 3, the circuit connects and lights C&D turn on.

A momentary switch always returns to Position 2 (off) when let go.
A maintained switch must be manually returned to position 2 (off) and runs the risk of burning up the motor/actuator. Accidently bumping the switch can turn the actuator on in up or down.
With a momentary switch, letting go of the switch brings it back to position 2.
