2016 ACE 570 won't start after washing

OK.....So I've had this ACE a few months now and I was finally able to "wash" it - well at least rinse most of the mud off of it. Sprayed it down really good everywhere, but wasn't necessarily trying to NOT get water into certain areas. The machine was off the entire time I was rinsing it off.

When I went to start it to pull it into the garage it doesn't start and just makes a loud clicking noise when I engage the ignition (not like a dead battery, more of a solenoid firing) and the dash gives one flicker at first key start then nothing.

The clicking is crazy loud so I only engaged the starter for a moment.

Does it just need to dry out really well? Maybe I got something ignition or starter related wet? Given the all terrain nature of the machine I didn't really think too much about water intrusion other than submerging the machine and causing the intake to go under water ((haven't done ANY kind of deep water)

Any ideas?

Very strange. Definitely sounds like electrical got wet somewhere/somehow.
Please update us if and when you find the problem/solution.

I was driving thru 12-18" deep water yesterday with no problems.
Probably a bad battery.
Charge it and do a load test on it.
The clicking is probably the starter solenoid. It clicks like that when the voltage is too low to keep it engaged.
I'll pull out the battery and dry everything out really well. I had the seat out when I was spraying everything down and it all did get pretty wet.

I'm guessing this module inside the left rear wheelwell is the ignition coil? Had tons of mud jammed in there as well so I was spraying it down fairly hard in that area (just a hose - no pressure washer.) I'll post back with an update when i get the chance.

My son had been driving it around just prior to this occuring (for about 30 min) with no issues starting or running the whole time so I'm not thinking it's a bad battery (but who knows.....)
That is the voltage regulator in front of the left tire.
It is a pita to get the battery out.
If you can get the charger leads onto the battery posts I would just check the voltage and charge it up.
If charging it makes it start then you could take it out and load test it.
If it is still the original battery it is probably over due to be replaced.
Since they are so hard to get to they are usually ignored and get no maintenance until they die.
I dried it out really well last night and tried firing it up - same thing - loud clicking noises (but not like a dead battery)

I decided that maybe I tripped something with the water on electrical - so I disconnected the battery for about 10 min and reconnected it. Machine fired right up - no issues at all.

Still not exactly sure what I did - but she's all better now.

So if you get your ACE wet and when you try to start it it just clicks LOUDLY at you, try disconnecting/reconnecting the battery - worked for me!

Hi, thanks for your feed as I have had a simlar issue so it helped guide me down the right track.
my problem ended up being the positive bolt and screw in the original battry was faily stripped so wasnt getting very tight.
I replaced the screw and bolt with a new one, tightened it all up and it worked first go.
