570 Engine swap.

Reading write ups on the Ace, it looks like this machine has almost all the needed parts from the rzr 570 to keep from breaking them with too much power (tranny, rear end, suspension). I also thought I had read somewhere that the 327 engine was the same bolt pattern and basic size of the 570. Does anyone who's looked at the specs (from the patents) have a decent idea of whether or not a 570 engine would bolt up? Looking on ebay, you can get lightly used 570 engines for 2k. I imagine after a couple months, there will be someone who will blow one of the Ace engines and need to buy one, you could probably sell it for close to the same amount.

Right now, I'm in a struggle between getting an Ace or the Wildcat trail. I love power, hate trailers and am worried about the length of the Wildcat. The Ace can fit in a pickup and is nimble, but even the reviews that praise it still say that it doesn't have enough balls to really get the back end spinning. For $7500, basically breaking even on an engine swap to a 570 (minus labor for the install). This machine would blow away everything currently on the market.

Gave the Ace til end of July when Polaris comes out with the new Models..Stay with A Rzr they beat competition hands down..
If your dead set on having the first ACE 570 I'd say go for it! It sounds like the 327 has enough power for my purposes but there is apparently a pretty big demand for an ace with more power. It would be a beast! Remember that just because all the pieces fit doesn't necessarily mean they'll work tho. I know very little about the ECU's on either machine but I'm confident the ace ECU won't run the 570 and the 570 ECU won't interface with the ace. I have no doubt it can be done, but how much will it cost to do it. You would also probably need to rework the clutches but that's probably pretty easy to figure out. I bet if your patient polaris will put the 570 in one before you could track down all the info and parts to do the swap. I would imagine it would cost an extra 1000-2000 over the 327 ace but it'll probably have nicer wheels/ tires, shocks and other things that will make it worth while. They'll have to keep it cheaper than the rzr 570. You'll also get a warranty if you wait for polaris to produce it.

After all the down talking about the 570, it's nice to see people excited about upgrading to a big bore 570! ;)
Dont forget you could resell your brand new 327 motor to offset the cost.

I think it would be fun to just turbo the 327 for now and see if Polaris throws us an LE with a 570 in it soon :)

I think for sure we will see other models just on how they named it, why not just a Polaris Ace instead of Sportsman Ace?
It would be interesting to see what a small turbo could do on this motor. I bet the price for performance ratio would be worth it.

They wanted to release it under a brand that people recognized. They did the same thing when the RZR came out. It was originally the RANGER RZR.

Im kinda thinking if they put the 570 in ace it would take sales away from 570 razor. But I do believe we will see suspension. Changes etc. LE.

Agree in that they would have to balance the pricing.
I think a more powerful ace is in the future.
