Fram?? Yikes!

When you figure out the Wix part number that fits, please post it.
I have a case of Wix filters for my RZR. I'd love it if the same one fit the ACE, but I'm not holding my breath.
Where do you guys get the wix filters from and how much do they cost? The Fram filters cost about $10.00 each from Cheapcycleparts.com and Polarismonster.com...
Are you guys aware the Fram bought Champion labs? The quality of Fram has improved drastically. Especially their higher end filters.
Was Champion a good brand? :)

Usually, when Company A (which produces low quality products) buys Company B (which produces better quality products), the result is that the products quality suffers overall.
I like HiFlo as well. Looks like HF116, but I'm not going to swear to it yet.
O'Reilly Auto parts shows they have the Wix 57671 for $10.49.
I have just spent 3 days riding with Greybeard and One-Shot. Greybeard brought a Wix oil filter for the Ace and I have a Polaris Fram filter. We unpackaged the filters and inspected them side by side in bright sunshine. The paper was the same orange color in both filters and appeared to be the same weight identical paper. The metal end caps were identical. The text embossed into the metal end caps was the same font and same size for both filters. Both filters had Made in India printed in ink on the outside end cap. In addition to the Made in India the Fram filter had a second printed line that said Fram. In my opinion, the two filters probably came off the same production line. Personally, I will buy either filter based on availability and price. I could see no difference at all between the two filters.

Great detective work, hayseed! Now we know we can get the same protection at a lesser cost!

Is the filter numbers you are talking about for the 330 or the 570. I'm getting ready to change my oil in my 330 and it's tough to get by the dealer so I'd like to just pick one up at an Auto Parts or Walmart store.
You can buy the Purolator filters at wal mart for $3.27 Part number L14610 or L14612. One is longer than the other but both will work. This is for the 570 Both work great and I've been using them for three years on the Ace and also my Sportsman 500 HO. Same filter for both. Can also buy Rotella T-6 5w-40 for around $19.00 for a five quart jug. Rotella seems to have a better additive package and actually seems to quiet my motor down, and being a diesel formulation has a lot of cleaning agents in its formulation. Great oil for our atvs

330 and 570 use different filters. Here's the one for the 330: FRAM - Part Details

$5.33 on Amazon with prime shipping. Amazon.com: FRAM CH6096 Oil Cartridge for Honda Motorcycle: Automotive
Thanks. I'll keep this in my Ace folder.
We have a sticky on oil filters. http://www.aceforums.net/forum/30-a...ftermarket-local-parts-store-oil-filters.html

I started out using Purolators but switched to Fram. The Fram's have larger flow holes in the filter than the Purolator. I change my oil and filter very 25-50 hours so I'm ok with using Fram filters.
