I think the Ace is sort of a re-invention of the Honda oddesey but with modern build and technology so there is no comparison except in concept, it simply the best move forward in ATV's in years....
I can see farmers doing what they do in a much safer environment given the Ace's rollcage and safety features plus the much lower center of gravity makes for very stable work and recreation vehicle, add a few extras and a bit more power and the military might take a shine to them too.
It'd be nice to be able to buy a frame that was setup to "upgrade" an existing sportsman (whatever model) to this format by stripping your bike's components from it's old frame, don't get me wrong, I love my 850Xp X2 but this design format has all my bike has to offer and a lot more :)

Except when the Pilot was sold in the 80's & 90's it had no cargo room no leg room I am 6'4' and could not fit in one it had terrible suspension and a 400 CC carb engine with only rear wheel drive. The pilot is a go cart in comparison.

There was still a market for the pilot in good condition lately but I bet the market will take a huge hit in cost no. If memory serves me right the pilot was about the same money over $7000 2 and a half decades ago. The pilot was awsome for its time and I wanted one but no money and the small size kept it out of my reach. I did own one of the old Oddesy's and ran the crap out of it but what a beast.

The oddesey and the ACE are about as familiar as a Yugo and a Porshe. The oddesey was basically a dune buggy and was fun, but without AWD didn't have any characteristics even similar to the ACE. It was a dune buggy and that was it. It was great at what it was made for but any comparison between the two is a little far fetched...IMO

Welcome to the forum, Monkey Man!

Lots of people make the comparison between an ACE and the old Odyssey, and asking them not to is like asking people to stop forwarding stupid political stuff on Facebook.
It falls on deaf ears.

But MM is right, the concept is similar: A single seater with a steering wheel, roll cage, rear engine, and low center of gravity.
The execution of the concept is where it becomes vastly different, and I think most will agree that the ACE is far superior to the Odyssey in pretty much every respect. The only thing better about the Odyssey is that it was available 35 years ago, back when Honda was innovative in the ORV market.
Anyone who feels differently is suffering from nostalgia (which I consider a disease of the mind), and needs to go drive an Odyssey again to remember the shortcomings.

Look what the Odyssey grew up to be though! I wonder what the ACE will be when it grows up.
