I intend to buy one, but wonder if it would be wise to wait for 2015s.

Any word on changes coming? When do new year models come out?

I have a line on one in Colorado for $7100 out the door. I'll be hunting there in September, and a friend there could pick it up for me.

Only price I've got locally (Dallas) is $7500+freight, prep, etc. ($4-500 more)

So I'll save $8-900 buying in CO.

Apparently I could save an additional $600 if I don't register it in TX, because the CO dealer won't charge me sales tax as a TX resident.

Any reason to register it? I'll have to pay 8.25% sales tax if I do.

Thanks for any help!

Wait for the July meetings and new model release. I hope they offer a 570 Ace.

Talk to the local desler, most dont charge freight or PDI. If hexwants your business, he will work with you.

Do you need it registered to insure it?

Not sure, but it doesn't matter.

I'll be paying cash, and don't intend to insure it.

I only insure things I am required to or can't afford to lose/replace.

Thanks, though!

From what I've read here, the current engine will suit me fine. I'm not a very fast rider.

I will use it for hunting mostly, and while I will get into gnarly situations occasionally retrieving game, I won't be in a hurry when I do.

The stump-puller low i have read of will get lots of use.

My reasons for waiting would be:

1) If they have addressed any "bugs" to make the machine more efficient/reliable.

2) If they offer other colors. I really like Polaris' OD green.

So the new model changes will be announced this month then?

The annual dealer meetings and new model releases or updates are held at the end of July. So, if waiting does not bother you, why not hold off.

The only bad is the new models usually are not discounted like they are at the end of the model year.

Thanks, Will.

My brain is saying "Wait" but my heart is saying "GO!"

My heart usually wins.

Can you wallett afford to wait? They remain tight lipped about product intro's and updates until the meetings. Just load the Polaris site, and hit refredh.

if you wait for the new release you could probably get a better deal on the 14 sitting there...

Yep, that's what I'm thinking too. The dealer has 3 of them, so maybe I can get away with waiting a bit.

I won't be there to ride it till the end of August anyway.
