All,

New to these types of vehicles, but I've been riding ATVs all MY life. My wife has not. I recently bought her a Kawasaki 300 and she promptly rolled it, going over rough terrain at slow speeds (under 10mph) I'm still not sure how she managed that.

So, I'm considering getting an ACE instead. With it's lower center of gravity and the way it drives more like a jeep I think it's a better fit. How is the stability in comparison to a quad (with someone who doesn't understand how to use their body weight to keep from tipping)?

Also, I have my eye on a 2014 with 670 miles on it. Appears in great condition. Is $5200 a good price? Are there any common issues I should look for?

I also have an eye on a 2019 570 with 1,338 miles from a dealer for $7999. How does this compare deal wise? And is the extra power from the 570 tame/easily controlled? Still suitable for a newbie?

Finally, I'm looking at a 2015 570 with 5,000 miles for $5200.

Thanks for your time.

I can only help with one or two of your questions, but I'll try that. I'm a motorcycle, car, pickup, and Jeep guy, never had a "quad" at all. I'm also over 70, so I consider that. Since I live near all these great trails, I wanted something like an ATV, but when I saw an ad for an Ace, I knew that was my thing. I got a 2015 570, never having driven any other UTV type vehicle. Paid 4600, private party, in 2019. Prices seem to be going up. Never drove a 325, but I have to say I think the 570 has the perfect amount of power for this vehicle. It's enough to be plenty of fun, and you can get into trouble IF you aren't somewhat careful, but it's not enough to be scary fast. I would imagine that a 326 is still fun on a tight trail, but less so on a fast fire road. My 570 will do about 62 MPH top speed on level pavement. The darn thing is a goat as far as ability to go anywhere I have the cojones to point it. (It has very aggressive trail tires.) Not much I else I can say, except that as you may have noticed, I love my 570.

Thanks for the reply... HOw many miles are on your 570 now? Does one with 5000 miles (assuming it's been properly maintained) still have plenty of life?

Only 1595 miles on it. I really don't have a good basis to judge whether one with 5K has a lot of life left. I guess I would assume that it does, but I would also assume that there might be repairs coming up not too far down the road. Maybe this forum would give some clues on that if you read a bunch of posts in areas having to do with maintenance troubles. I don't have enough experience. My own machine has had one actual problem since I got it, that was solved by a trip to the Polaris dealer service. It acted and coded like a problem with the cam position sensor, but it checked okay, so I brought it in for diagnosis. They could find no problem, but by the time they had run the diagnostics, and rebooted the machine's computer, it worked again, and has since.

I'm in same boat, wife rolled her quad so I think the Ace is a great idea. She bought a 500 with low miles and have been going through it. I'm a Teryx guy so have some experience with wrenching on these things. First major issue was a broken hub on the back, bad wheel wobble, probably from bent wheel, which I hear is not that uncommon. So far all the nuts and bolts seem very soft so as I change parts I'm changing the hardware. Upgraded to 27" tires, (1 1/2" spacers seem to make it a little more stable) mounted a fire extinguisher (it's a Polaris after all) 4 point harness and some doors. Still waiting on a roof, everybody seems on back order so made a temporary one out of a HD trash bag and duct tape. Mud flaps have been ordered and still looking for brush guards. Prices around here are all over the place. The 500 seems to have plenty of power, I think the 900 would be a little much but I'm 66 years old so my high speed days are behind me, just don't heal up like I used to.

Like Cowtrail I too am 66. I passed on a 325 as I felt in high it was underpowered when compared to a 570. I tell you its a safe ride for us older people. Your low to the ground and if you take corners at reasonable speeds it acts just like a car. Easy to get in and out of.
