Two and a half weeks ago, my brother and I walked into a Polaris Dealership in WA state, ordered up 2 brand new Ace's from the factory, didn't want the floor models. They told us they would be ready for pickup in 2 weeks. No problem. We were paying full pop with no accessories. I called them up yesterday and they tell me they won't even ship out of the factory til the 1st. Then it will be another 10 days AT LEAST to get here. WTF. I'm supposed to be drooling over my new toy right now. But the thing isn't even out of the factory. We are both pissed. I'm waiting for my salesman to get into work and give me a call. Now they owe me a good deal. Sounds like I'm most likely going to just cancel the order. I know its not the dealerships fault for them being late, but I feel like they lied to us and should have kept us up to date on this thing. Kinda feel like I'm getting screwed now. Just ruined the whole experience.

They can only tell you what the factory told them. No sense in getting hot since there is probably a big demand for these. Just calm down and wait, it will be worth it and you won't have caused bad feelings.

Do they still have the floor models?
Why didn't you want those? Were they damaged? Had some miles on them and not sure how they were broken in?

If they have less than 5 miles on them, and are not damaged, I suggest cancelling the order and getting the floor models.
Sux that you're having to wait, but you did insist on factory direct, and it's kind of out of your dealer's hands.

We ended up canceling the order. Not getting a warm fuzzy feeling from that dealer. We may try again on a later date when things cool down. So no new Ace for now.

Bummer! As I understand it, each dealer gets an allocation of vehicles for the year from the MFGs. So you might have to wait for a 2015 ACE if you want one straight from the factory.

As of this morning, we are trying again. I called up another dealer and put the offer on the table. Waiting for the salesman to talk it over with his boss and call me back. We will be going for a couple floor models this time.

Update- he called back. No kind of deal what so ever. But they do have 2. Called another dealer, he can get me only 1 for a couple hundred less. This sucks! These things are so popular that they are not giving deals around here!

I feel your pain.

So now you just have to ask yourself: Do you want them NOW, or do you want to wait for a better deal?
I know what my answer would be.

Another thing to consider is that you're trying to do this on the phone and they're not seeing the green yet.
Can you pay cash? Dealing with them in person with cash in hand might have better results than telephone negotiations.

The deposit has been paid. Got them down a couple hundred. The pair should be ready to pickup by this weekend. Now I'm excited again!
