Hey guys/girls.

The other day, I made the mistake of showing the Ace to my wife and now she has to have one..lol I have been reading through the forums looking for ideas for mods (exhaust/air filter/tires) and trying to learn about the capability of this thing. I know for sure she will want some aggressive tires because she likes to play in the mud but how big can you go before you start losing power? I also haven't found much for a clutch kit to help it out of the hole a little better. Any suggestions? Anyone hear of any good deals? I am looking to possibly pick one up next week. Well, back to reading the forums!

Welcome to the forum!

There are a few threads already talking about wheels and tires. You can't go much bigger than stock width due to rubbing issues, but you can add some height.
As for a clutch kit, I'm not sure it needs one. Have you tried out the low gear on this thing? It's like a little tractor in low gear.

Some guys have posted some pretty good OTD prices in this thread.
At this stage in its life, I would be suspicious of deal on an ACE that sounded "too good to be true".
I could see if someone bought one and then decided it didn't meet their needs, I guess, but I'd go over it very carefully.

Hey, uncleford, welcome to the ace forum! I am in Troutville, Va. I found the best deal I could find down in Winston-Salem, NC at Kevin Powell Motorsports. You might try calling Adam down there. Thanks for the reply guys. It looks like 8k~ish is about norm right now. I agree, if its too cheap, something it wrong..lol

Funny you mention Winston-Salem. I don't remember who I talked to there Friday about one they had listed. This one had about 9 hours on it. It was their demo. He said it had all the accessories on it (windshield, winch, roof, bumpers) and it was listed for $6800? I am going to call him back Mon or Tues about to see what he would sell it to me for and to see what they offer for a warranty.

That sounds like what mine was close to. Mine has factory warranty on it. They did me right on it. Check it out closely. Good luck.
