Calgary, Alberta here. Eight to ten in our group and we've been talking about side by sides since they first came out.Originally I was gung-ho but have since changed my mind. The thought being great the wife can come. She has her own quad but we play in very rough country and it can get pretty scary. Then I realized the people who won't ride a quad on there own (short of taking kids to the creek, should have said trail-ride on their own), might take one ride in a side by side and that's it. They aren't going to be anymore comfortable riding with someone else. It is physically exerting and more scary as a passenger. Sure some of the younger adults would like to ride when they are out but those are exceptions. I've always said I want to try a Razr or AC for a weekend to see how it performs. And I've been told the dealers do bring them out for trials. This little single seater could be good compromise.

We went from quads to the RZR 800S and it is a really big improvement. I had a couple of bad wrecks on my quad and was terrified to ride it after that but I rode because my husband wanted to go. Got the RZR and 3 rides later absolutely loved it and I've never been scared again. Got my own RZR 7 months later and I'll drive thru and over anything in my way.

SXS's are a world of difference compared to a quad. I'm thinking if the ACE would have been a available 5 years ago, we would have bought 2 and loved them.

Hell it is 9-!0 above right now (50F). Problem is one truck in garage (trans removal) so quads sitting in snowbank (tarped) frozen solid to ground. Plus would need tracks to go anywhere. So yeah your right.
