45 miles on my Ace and it's heading back to the dealer in the morning. My speedo needle pulsates and the whole speedo loses power machine still runs fine and the problem is happening intermittently. I double checked all connections, grounds, looked for pinched wires, and even disconnected, charged, and reconnected the battery still no change. I will leave it up to the dealer to dig further. I shall keep you all posted as to how it all turns out.

Thanks! Yeah I even took all connections apart and put dielectric grease on them as well. It will be interesting to see what it is. I could dig until I find it but heck I figure I might as well utilize the warranty time.

Given how thorough you were, I'd say you more than did your part, and it's gotta be a hardware failure.
Let us know how it turns out! We want to know.

Here's a video of what it's doing for those interested. I'm thinking maybe it's the key switch but since I don't have a service book on it yet with the specs on everything I shall wait and see what the dealer comes up with.

I think if it were the ignition switch, you'd lose the engine when it happens.

Yeah after I thought more about it more and dinked with the ignition switch I changed my mind on the ignition switch as well. Damn it's gonna drive me nuts till I know what it is and I can play some more on it.

Hey everyone! So I got my Ace back today from the dealer!!!! Woohoo missed it too much! So they ended up putting a new speedo in it and reprogramming the ECU. They tested it everyday multiple times everyday until today when I went to get it and it hasn't acted up since. I'm a little surprised that the speedo was the problem considering it seemed more like an ECU issue to me but so far so good. I guess maybe the reprogramming played a big part too.
