Just thinking out loud here. I have a brother in law that works in Pitt.; you pay for tires; I'll have bro in law pick them up and hold; you come out here to ride Hatfield-McCoy with us; then swing thru Wheeling, WV either going to or coming from and pick up your tires. Then, while you're out this way we can introduce you to Windrock and Turkey Bay as well. How is that for a plan? Works for me.....
Never mind, just found the Greyhound shipping calculator.
Pittsburgh, PA to Everett, WA (closest Greyhound station to me, not far).
36 inches largest dimension, assuming the tires are wrapped in plastic.
Shipping quote: $118.30
That's probably still too much. It's also getting VERY close to their maximums, maybe over. If it had to be split into two shipments it would be $146.
Shipping costs for large packages are just over the top for us unwashed masses that don't have bulk deals with the shipping carriers.
