So I bought a 900 XC for my son. I know it is alot of machine. It needs new tires currently. I have a set of 29s in the basement that came off of my RMAX4. Same lug pattern. Anyone think that I will lose too much stability putting my son in this machine? He is 14. But very responsible kid.

I doubt it would be that much of a difference. I think it depends on the style of riding you do. Fast cornering will be affected but not by much. I have seen one at my dealer that had spacers and bigger than 29s on it.

I forgot to mention, when my stock tires are due to be replaced, I'm going to go 1 size larger. I would like to get a little more ground clearance, but not make it too tall since I put it in my toy hauler RV.
