Curious if anyone has an aftermarket air filter like a UNI. The stock filter/air box is very loud at half throttle or more. So much it annoy's the hell out of me. I have had several quads and UTV's and never heard a stock intake so loud as this. Was thinking of possibly getting a UNI or other type if it is quieter. Will also put an Outerwears on it that may or may not help. Any help or advice is appreciated.

I just did my first oil change this past weekend. I installed a uni with the outerwears cover. I honestly did not notice a sound difference. That being said I do have the back window and my stock filter was never annoying to me. In any case I hear no difference.

Thanks for the info. I will probably pick up a UNI just because I have always had them in other rides. No doubt the back window muffles the noise a bit. I have an aftermarket cage, so would have to customize a back window for it.

I have a Uni and a snorkel on my Ace. There is intake noise but I don't think its excessive for the design. The Ace's system is airbox, TB, and head, all in a straight line. On something like my Renegade, the airbox is way upstream from the throttle bodies and therefore a lot quieter. As far as running an outerwear on a Uni, we did it on our pitbikes but the outerwear becomes contaminated/clogged by the oil that you are supposed to be using on the Uni. I certainly hope nobody is running their Uni filters dry.

Yea, same thing with the Commander XT1000 I sold before I got the Ace and the Suzuki Kingquad 700 before that. They were way forward of the engine in the front. No intake noise whatsoever, at least none that bothered me. I had a Rzr 800 that had some pretty good intake noise right by my left ear, but nothing like this Ace intake noise.

Hey thanks for the heads up on the outerwears cover. I will def keep an eye on it for clogging. I did oil the uni prior to install.

I also think that changing the oil doesn't affect the sound, it's something else. Anyway, I would contact a specialist to solve this problem. Sometimes I do minor car repairs using video tutorials from YouTube, but sometimes I need an expert opinion. By the way, I want to ask you a question about the ozone generator. If any of you use it, please share your experience. I found ozone generators on Amazon, they have low prices and free shipping. And I want to order one for my car. I also found a great article about it on https://www.damagecontrol-911.com/ozone-generators-in-the-car/. But I'm interested in your feedback. Thank you in advance.
