That $11 Wiper Kit came in the mail today.
And it's wayyyyyy to big for the Ace.
But instead of tossing it,.. I'm altering it.
I cut off about 5-6" on the wiper arm itself and welded it back together.
I still have to paint it,..then drill a hole in the windshield and mount it.

I'll post a picture once it is mounted in place.

I put mine on the same spot. It is just centered on the windshield after I cut the arm down. No pic yet tho. In Italy now. I'll upload a pic when I return.

Here is the $11 Wiper installed. I cut about 5" off the wiper arm and rewelded it back together so that the wiper will fit directly in the middle of the windshield. It rotates all the way up and barely misses the roof.

Hasn't rained on me since it's been installed.

So I was riding yesterday and encountered a problem.
It was raining and I rode to test out the wiper. Which works great btw.
I came across a sand hill and attempted to climb it.
I made it to the top on the 4th try in 2WD.
Then I clicked the AWD and went up flawlessly.

Well then I went to leave and the backlight of my Analog Gauge went out.
Then it came back on and had 2 warnings.
EPS light and Check Engine light is on.

What the mother?!?!

I went to the gas station and turned it off. Bought some stuff. Went back out and it started right up.
I drove directly home (about a mile) with no issues.

Thoughts or solutions anyone?

Not sure If your voltage regulator is mounted in the same place as my 570 but I experienced A similar issue when mine got packed with mud. I've read here that it's best to relocate or cover The regulator Which I will do sometime in the near future.

So you are thinking my glitching has to do with the Voltage Regulator?
I am not sure where it is located on a 900 SP.
I can check after work.
I'll assume it's in a dumb spot right from the start.
And with rain + sand,... I suppose that could affect the regulator.

This was a first for my Ace.
I've owned it for about 10 months and always drive it hard AF.

The voltage regulators are basically junk from Polaris. Replaced both on my two Ace 900 SP's under warranty with OEM parts however. They had totally different symptoms though. One was doing like you said during a ride trip in Arkansas. System was overcharging the battery at about 18 volts and the EPS would come and go with check engine light. Surprised we didn't blow up the battery! It was boiling by the time we got back to trucks. The voltage regulator affects all kinds of system components.

Next time this happens,.. I'll take a pic or a video.

I was riding yesterday and my instrument cluster went haywire again.
Shows a power steering malfunction,.. .and then the lights on the cluster goes out.
I can't remember the code across the screen. My fault. I'll take a pic next time.

The Ace seemed to function just fine and I made it home without issues,.. even tho the instrument cluster lights stayed off.

Any ideas?
Next time picture for sure!

Could be a bad connection on the instrument cluster plug. Disconnect, clean if needed and reconnect to try. I've not had this problem yet with either of my aces.

If it's located in the fender well behind the rear tire it's just a matter of time before it goes, might be on its way out right now and that's why it's acting up? When mine went I would intermittently lose the EPS

That seems to be what is happening to mine. Losing EPS intermittently.
And never in the beginning of a ride.
Usually about 20 or so minutes into the ride.
I say usually like it happens all the time.
It happened twice so far.
Which is 2 times too many.

Might as well just order one,$77 from Amazon and it was here in 3 days. MOSFET voltage regulator kit with 69 cm harness. When mine finally died it wouldn't even turn over 'cause it was holding back voltage to the starter. Plug the new one in and off I went.

That appears to be the one I ordered but I can't cross reference the part number right now, I did quickly "Google 2016 ace 900 SP voltage regulator" and several popped up. Again I did not cross reference the part numbers so you may have to do a little research as the one that I saw was about $50 more for the 900. The harness is long enough to relocate and I put mine up on the roll bar

The one in the link I posted says it fits the following models:
Product description
FITS MODELS
Polaris RZR 570 -- 2012
Polaris RZR 1000 XP -- 2014-2016
Polaris RZR 4 900 -- 2014
Polaris RZR 900 -- 2014
Polaris RZR 4 1000 XP -- 2014-2016
Polaris Sportsman 570 ACE -- 2015-2016
Polaris Sportsman Ace 325 -- 2014-2016
Polaris RZR 4 900 XP -- 2012-2013
Polaris RZR 900 XP -- 2012-2013
Polaris RZR 1000 XP INTL -- 2014
Polaris RZR 4 900 INTL -- 2014
Polaris RZR 900 INTL -- 2014
Polaris RZR 1000 XP Turbo -- 2016
Polaris RZR 900 ACE -- 2016

I did not realize that the 900 Ace was considered a RZR and not a Sportsman like the 325 and 570 Aces are.

So,... big dummy here,.. still haven't replaced my Voltage Regulator.
Probably because I haven't had any re-occuring problems,.. until yesterday.
Same ****.
Blue backlight goes out, power steering light comes on, check engine light comes on.
Grrr.
Still runs excellent,.. but no power steering.
Shut it off for a minute,.. fixes itself,.. rides fine.

Guess I best breakdown and purchase this Voltage Regulator.
