So,... big dummy here,.. still haven't replaced my Voltage Regulator.
Probably because I haven't had any re-occuring problems,.. until yesterday.
Same ****.
Blue backlight goes out, power steering light comes on, check engine light comes on.
Grrr.
Still runs excellent,.. but no power steering.
Shut it off for a minute,.. fixes itself,.. rides fine.
Guess I best breakdown and purchase this Voltage Regulator.
So I finally got around to checking the voltage on my Ace last night.
After roofing all day long I decided to go for a quick 10-15 rip on the Ace cuz all work and no play makes me a dull boy.
Anyways,.. the moment I hit the gas pedal,.. my instrument cluster light goes out.
And it was dark so I had to take my phone out for a light on the cluster.
Sure as **** when I am on the pedal my voltage sky rockets past 17.
When I let off the gas and idle,.. the light comes back on and it shows 12.something.
Then if I just barely step on the gas pedal,.. it shoots up to 14.5.
But as soon as I start to roll,.. it goes past 17 and shuts down my power steering and instrument cluster.
RM Stator came in.
The cable is a full 8' long.
Damn near four times as long as the OEM.
I mounted it on the cab roll bar, just like Huntsounthnz did.
I only tested it inside the garage thus far and all seems to work well.
After work today I'll give it a proper test ride and see how everything is.
Ripped it up for a good hour last night.
Had to wait until it was dark cuz,... hunting season.
But anyways,.. the Ace rode hard and strong the entire time with zero issues!!
Woot for the new Voltage Regulator!!
